Welcome to the International Fall Festival Diaries 2011. This site will allow you to enjoy a small part of the spiritual programme and hear about individual people’s experience of the festival. This year’s Fall Festival will take place in the US Kadampa World Peace Temple at KMC New York. Located on 82 wooded acres in the colorful Upper Delaware River Basin, famous for its autumn beauty. It is less than two hours from New York City.

During this Festival Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong will grant the blessing empowerment of Buddha Vajrasattva – the Buddha of purification – and give commentary to this practice. Through putting these teachings into practice we can come to experience the deep peace and joy that arises from a pure mind. There will also be reviews of the teachings and guided meditations, followed by a short retreat all led by senior Kadampa teachers.

The blessings and lineage of the teachings given at Kadampa Festivals arise from the kindness and dedication of the highly respected meditation master and scholar Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Geshe Kelsang draws on the profound lineage he holds to present the path to liberation and enlightenment, in ways that people of the modern world can easily understand and put into practice.
