By air
Lisbon International Airport (LIS) also known as Lisbon Portela Airport, is the main international gateway to Portugal and is one of the largest airports in Southern Europe. More information can be found at their website, www.lisbon-airport.com.
Airport Transfers
Airport Shuttles will be offered from Lisbon airport to the Festival Venue and the principal Festival hotel areas on Friday October 25. Buses will also be scheduled from the Festival venue to Lisbon airport on Thursday October 31. The cost of the airport shuttle each way is €15 and must be paid in full when booking. Airport Shuttles must be booked by September 20, after which time due to contractual obligations, no refunds can be given.
The following transfer times are provisional and may be amended according to final demand.
Friday October 25
8.30am, 10.00am, 11.30am
1.00pm, 3.00pm, 5pm, 6pm
Thursday October 31
1pm, 2.30pm

By rail
Trains from Lisbon’s Cais do Sodré (Metro: Cais do Sodré) run to Cascais along the scenic coastal line via Estoril. Trains leave twice an hour and stop at Estoril, Estoril Monte and Cascais.

By bus
There is a direct bus from the airport to Cascais. There are also regular buses to Lisbon and Sintra from Cascais, and also linking the hotel areas of Estoril and Guincho.

By car
Take the A5 (partial toll road) west from Lisbon. At exit 12, take the N9-1 (partial toll road) south to Cascais.
