Kadampa Buddhist Festivals & Celebrations

A Part of International Temples Project - Building Temples for World Peace

Fall Festival

The Festival Venue

Brazil Temple for World Peace

The Festival is being held in the beautiful and magnificent newly-constructed Kadampa Buddhist Temple at Kadampa Meditation Centre Brazil (KMC Brazil). This is the largest Kadampa Buddhist Temple that follows the design made by Venerable Geshe Kelsang.

Brazil occupies almost half the area of South America. The country has 20% of global biodiversity and is the fifth most populous in the world. In its five hundred years of history, Brazil has been characterized as a nation of many peoples. Its language is Portuguese, which is the third most widely spoken Western language in the world, after English and Spanish.

KMC Brazil is in the region of the Serra do Japi ecological reserve, which is located at Jundiaí, Cabreúva and Cajamar in the State of São Paulo. The Serra do Japi has an enormous wealth of biodiversity and is a green oasis lying between three major urban centres. It is 40 miles north of the city of São Paulo, Brazil's largest city, and close to the cities of Jundiaí and Campinas.
