Spring Festival
Festival Information and Guidance

Please read the following information carefully:
Arrival & Registration
For security reasons, when you arrive to register you will be asked for this letter of acknowledgement. If you do not have it with you, you will be asked to show some other form of identification, such as your passport, or driving licence.
Registration will be from 14.00 – 19.00 on Friday May 28. If you require supper on this day, please register before 17.00. The Festival will end with lunch on Monday May 31. Please note: We regret that we cannot provide Single, Twin, Double or Shared Rooms before Friday May 28 or after lunch on Monday May 31.
When you register on arrival, please be prepared to pay the full balance of your bill either in cash (pounds sterling), or a cheque drawn on a bank in the UK, or a sterling traveller’s cheque. Please make cheques payable to NKT (NOT Manjushri Centre). We also accept Visa, MasterCard, Switch and Delta credit/debit cards. Please note that Eurocheques are no longer accepted by UK banks even when written in Euros. We regret we cannot accept any currency other than UK pounds sterling (GBP) nor American Express or Diner’s Club cards.
What to Bring
Generally, you will find it helpful to bring warm clothes, waterproofs and relevant sadhanas (see below). If you are in a shared room, a dormitory, or camping you will need a warm sleeping bag.
Campers
Please come prepared! Check that your tent is waterproof and don't forget your karrimat (or similar ground insulation) torch, warm clothing, and sleeping bag. We regret we are unable to provide blankets or sleeping bags. Please note, to comply with safety regulations, no naked flames of any kind (e.g. candles, gas cookers or gas lighting) will be permitted anywhere on the campsite. There will be a special registration office for campers. On arrival, please follow the signs for camping registration. Do not erect your tent before you have registered.
Cassette Players & Musical Instruments
The Festivals are a time of peace, quiet and reflection. It is for this reason that we ask you not to bring musical instruments or sound systems of any kind to the Festival.
Car Parking
If you booked a car parking voucher, you will receive it with your confirmation letter. Please have it available to show to the car park attendant on your arrival. You will need to display it on your car throughout your stay.
Pets
Please note that it is not possible to bring pets to the Festival. Dogs are not permitted on the campsite, nor to be left in cars in the car park.
Security
All participants will be required to wear a Festival Pass at all times. Please co-operate fully with this requirement for the sake of the safety and smooth running of the Festival. Please note that the Festival Management cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to personal items or cars parked on or off the property. Please bring essential items only and carry valuables with you.
Voluntary Work
The entire Festival is organised and run by volunteers. Therefore, we ask everyone attending the Festival to help with a small amount of voluntary work such as preparing food, serving, clearing, dish-washing, cleaning, setting up, etc. You will have an opportunity to volunteer on the day of your arrival and throughout your stay.
Catering
There will be three meals provided each day for those who have booked the Festival Meal Ticket. For those not purchasing a ‘Festival Meal Ticket’, a selection of savoury snacks and light meals will
be available in the Festival Cafes. Please note that no food may be stored or prepared in any of the rooms, or anywhere on the campsite.
Special Requirements?
If you have any special needs such as difficulty with stairs or hearing problems please let us know in advance and we will try to help as much as possible. We regret that we cannot cater for special dietary requirements because we have to cater for such large numbers.
Sadhanas
You will require a copy of Prayers for Meditation for the teachings, reviews and meditations and Wishfulfilling Jewel for pujas. A new Sadhana ' The Yoga of Enlightened Mother Arya Tara' has been prepared for the Festival. All these sadhanas will be available from the Festival Shop.
Photography
Flash photography, video recording or tape recording are not permitted in the Temple.
