Swiss – Italian – Austrian Dharma Celebration 2012
Finding happiness in the busyness of everyday life
The Kadampa Way of Life
With Gen Losang Kelsang
September 14 – 16 2012
Volkshaus Zurich
Through the immeasurable kindness of our Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso we have once again the wonderful opportunity to welcome everybody to our annual Dharma Celebration of Switzerland, Austria and Italy.
This very special event offers a wonderful opportunity to meet spiritual practitioners from different countries and to receive the power and inspiration we need to find and maintain inner happiness in the busyness of everyday life. The inspiring teachings and guided meditations during the weekend are suitable for everyone; Buddhist, Non-Buddhist, young, old, beginner or practitioners with many years of experience.
Kadam Dharma is a very special presentation on Buddhas teachings that is suitable for everyone without exception. The great Master Dromtonpa said: ‘Kadam Dharma is like a mala made of gold.’ Just as everyone, even those who do not use a mala (or prayer beads), would be happy to accept a gift of a gold mala because it is made of gold, in a similar way, everyone, even non-Buddhists, can receive benefit from Kadam Dharma. This is because there is no difference between Kadam Dharma and people’s everyday experiences. These special teachings accords with people’s daily experience; it cannot be separated from daily life.
Everyone would like to make their lives happy and meaningful, to solve temporarily their human problems, and to enable them ultimately to find pure and everlasting happiness through controlling their anger, attachment, jealousy and especially ignorance.
If we try sincerely to put the teachings and meditations on how to awaken our Buddha nature into practice through cultivating Kadampa Buddhist views and intentions we can easily solve our human problems, develop a pure and happy mind and realize our full potential.
