Upon arrival at KMC Spain, please follow the directions of the car parking stewards. Campervan spaces must be pre-booked. \u00a0<\/p>\r\n TAXI DROP OFF\/PICK UP<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Is on road adjacent to the Festival site – see Festival map for location. \u00a0For the smooth and safe movement of vehicles and people, please follow the directions of the festival marshalls when being picked-up \/ dropped off.<\/p>\r\n BREAKFAST<\/strong><\/p>\r\n For those booked to stay onsite, breakfast will be served from Cafe del Sol – see the site map for location.<\/p>\r\n MUSIC<\/strong><\/p>\r\n To avoid disturbing others, musical instruments are not permitted. \u00a0Please use headphones if listening to music.<\/p>\r\n QUIET TIME<\/strong><\/p>\r\n After 10.30pm please be mindful that people are trying to sleep. Please be as quiet as possible near accommodation areas, and be aware that sound travels.<\/p>\r\n FIRE SAFETY<\/strong><\/p>\r\n If you discover a fire, sound the alarm immediately. Points to raise the Fire alarm are located throughout the buildings and also in the campsite. If you hear the fire alarm, proceed immediately to the Fire Assembly Point, depending on the location of the fire.<\/p>\r\n If the fire is inside the Temple<\/strong> – the assembly point next to the camping shower block<\/strong><\/p>\r\n If the fire is outside of the Temple<\/strong> – the assembly point is the Temple<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Please follow the instructions of the Festival Marshalls and fire wardens.<\/p>\r\n Important<\/strong>: please read fire procedures and assembly instructions posted throughout the buildings, especially in your accommodation. Familiarise yourself with your nearest fire exit.<\/p>\r\n No naked flames. Do not burn candles or incense, or use portable cooking equipment anywhere onsite. No smoking, vaping, or intoxicants allowed onsite.<\/p>\r\n ELECTRICAL FIRE HAZARD<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Faulty electrical appliances increase the risk of fire, for this reason mobile charging stations<\/strong> are provided in the covered seating areas near Cafe del Sol and Pizza. \u00a0Electronic devices should not be charged elsewhere, any devices which are found charging in other public spaces will be removed for safety reasons. Use of personal electrical appliances such as kettles and irons is not permitted.<\/p>\r\n CAMPING SAFETY<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Please camp in designated areas only. Areas marked as no camping will flood in the event of rain.<\/p>\r\n VALUABLES & UNATTENDED LUGGAGE<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Please do not leave any item of luggage unattended. Unattended bags should be reported immediately to the Info Desk. All unattended bags will be removed. Please look after your valuables at all times, and do not leave any valuables in your tent or marquee dormitory.<\/p>\r\n NIGHT TIME EMERGENCY<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Please go to the Temple where there is a night-time steward who can assist you. Enter via Door 1 – see the Temple seating map.<\/p>\r\n ALL SESSIONS WILL BE HELD AT THE TEMPLE<\/strong><\/p>\r\n For the empowerment and teaching sessions, the Temple doors will open 30 minutes before the start of the session to enable everyone to be seated. For all other sessions, please arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.<\/p>\r\n You will need to show your pass each time you enter the Temple.<\/p>\r\n Taking photos\/videos during sessions is not permitted, however, you are welcome to do so outside of session times.<\/p>\r\n During sessions, please ensure your phone is off or on silent mode.<\/p>\r\n For fire and health & safety reasons, large bags are not permitted in the Temple – please leave them in the luggage tent.<\/p>\r\n TRANSLATION \/ ASSISTED LISTENING<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Please only sit in this section of the Temple if you have pre-booked.<\/p>\r\n VIDEO LINKS<\/strong><\/p>\r\n A Family Video Link<\/strong> – is in the covered seating area next to the pool, and is for children and nominated care givers only.<\/p>\r\n CHILDREN<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Children 3 years and under are not permitted in the Temple during meditation, teaching or retreat sessions. They will orient you on the Festival site, family\/children facilities, and health & safety.<\/p>\r\n GENERAL SAFETY<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Festivals are public events and so children must always remain under the supervision of their parents\/nominated carers at all times.<\/p>\r\n TEMPLE & FAMILY VIDEO LINK<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Children of all ages are welcome to attend pujas in the Temple. \u00a0Children aged 3 years and under are not permitted in the Temple for teaching, meditation, or retreat sessions. However, there is designated family video link by the pool. \u00a0<\/p>\r\n POOL SAFETY<\/b><\/p>\r\n The pool will be open throughout the Festival, according to the times posted. Children must be closely supervised at all times when in or near the pool.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS<\/strong><\/p>\r\n WATER<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Please help to conserve water.<\/p>\r\n During your visit to KMC Spain please be mindful of water usage as all additional water for the Festival must be delivered by truck and risks running out. Please keep showers to 5 minutes duration and to not leave taps running.<\/p>\r\n ELECTRIC\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Please be mindful about turning lights and air conditioning off if you are the last one to leave the room. \u00a0Please help to conserve energy by limiting the use of air conditioning.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n RECYCLING<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Please separate waste as indicated on the trash containers.<\/p>\r\n Kadampa Festivals are unique volunteer-led events<\/strong>. Every aspect of the Festival is run entirely by volunteers – and more help is always needed. There are tasks to suit all abilities.<\/p>\r\n Our volunteer co-ordinators help keep the festival running smoothly by matching volunteers with teams-in-need on a daily basis. The volunteering desk is near the main entrance beside registration and the info desk.
