Visit the info desk for all general enquiries and to report any maintenance, household, or security concerns. Open 8.15am to 10pm daily (closed during Temple session times).<\/p>\n<p><strong>SPECIAL NEEDS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you have notified us in advance of any special needs, we have tried our best to accommodate them wherever possible. If you require further assistance, please go to the info desk.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FIRST AID<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>First Aid Room is located near the Registration Tent (see festival map for location).<\/p>\n<p>During the night &#8211; TBC<\/p>\n<p><strong>LOST PROPERTY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lost property is located next to the main entrance. Note, we cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to visitor&rsquo;s property.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PARKING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All cars parked onsite must display a valid Festival Parking Permit. Upon arrival at KMC Spain, please follow the directions of the car parking stewards. Campervan spaces must be pre-booked. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>TAXI DROP OFF\/PICK UP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Is on road adjacent to the Festival site &#8211; see Festival map for location. \u00a0For the smooth and safe movement of vehicles and people, please follow the directions of the festival marshalls when being picked-up \/ dropped off.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MUSIC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To avoid disturbing others, musical instruments are not permitted. \u00a0Please use headphones if listening to music.<\/p>\n<p><strong>QUIET TIME<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After 10.30pm please be mindful that people are trying to sleep. Please be as quiet as possible near accommodation areas, and be aware that sound travels.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5 tabindex=\"0\">Safety &#038; Security<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p><strong>FIRE SAFETY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you discover a fire, sound the alarm immediately. Points to raise the Fire alarm are located throughout the buildings and also in the campsite. If you hear the fire alarm, proceed immediately to the Fire Assembly Point, depending on the location of the fire.<\/p>\n<p>If the <strong>fire is inside the Temple<\/strong> &#8211; the <strong>assembly point is in car park 2 (P2)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the <strong>fire is outside of the Temple<\/strong> &#8211; the <strong>assembly point is the Temple<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please follow the instructions of the Festival Marshalls and fire wardens.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important<\/strong>: please read fire procedures and assembly instructions posted throughout the buildings, especially in your accommodation. Familiarise yourself with your nearest fire exit.<\/p>\n<p>No naked flames. Do not burn candles or incense, or use portable cooking equipment anywhere onsite. No smoking, vaping, or intoxicants allowed onsite.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ELECTRICAL FIRE HAZARD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Faulty electrical appliances increase the risk of fire, for this reason <strong>mobile charging stations<\/strong> are provided in the following outside locations: the covered seating area near the pool, on the World Peace Cafe Terrace, and in the covered seating area near Cafe del Sol. \u00a0Electronic devices should not be charged elsewhere, any devices which are found charging in other public spaces will be removed for safety reasons. Use of personal electrical appliances such as kettles and irons is not permitted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CAMPING SAFETY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please camp in designated areas only. Areas marked as no camping will flood in the event of rain.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VALUABLES &amp; UNATTENDED LUGGAGE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please do not leave any item of luggage unattended. Unattended bags should be reported immediately to the Info Desk. All unattended bags will be removed. Please look after your valuables at all times, and do not leave any valuables in your tent or marquee dormitory.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5 tabindex=\"0\">In the Temple<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p><strong>ALL SESSIONS WILL BE HELD AT THE TEMPLE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the Empowerment session, the Temple doors will open 30 minutes before the start of the session to enable everyone to be seated.\u00a0For all other sessions, please arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.<\/p>\n<p>You will need to show your pass each time you enter the Temple.<\/p>\n<p>Taking photos\/videos during sessions is not permitted, however, you are welcome to do so outside of session times.<\/p>\n<p>During sessions, please ensure your phone is off or on silent mode.<\/p>\n<p>For fire and health &amp; safety reasons, large bags are not permitted in the Temple &#8211; please leave them in the luggage tent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TRANSLATION\/HARD OF HEARING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please only sit in this section of the Temple if you have pre-booked.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VIDEO LINKS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Family Video Link<\/strong> &#8211; is in the covered seating area next to the pool, and is for children and nominated care givers only.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CHILDREN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Children 3 years and under are not permitted in the Temple during meditation, teaching or retreat sessions. They are welcome to attend pujas. A video link for children and nominated carers is provided &#8211; please see Families section for more information.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5 tabindex=\"0\">Families<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p><b>REGISTRATION<\/b><\/p>\n<p>There is a dedicated registration team to assist families, you will be directed to them upon arrival at registration. They will orient you on the Festival site, family\/children facilities, and health &amp; safety.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FAMILY ACTIVITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are no organised family activities during this Festival. \u00a0The pool will be open according to times posted. <strong>Children must be closely supervised at all times when in or near the pool.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>SAFETY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Although it is easy to feel safe, Festival&rsquo;s are public events. \u00a0Children must always remain the responsibility of their parents\/nominated carers, and be under their supervision at all times.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VIDEO LINK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Children 3 years and under are not permitted in the Temple for teaching, meditation, or retreat sessions. They are welcome to attend pujas. A designated video link for children and their nominated carers is provided.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5 tabindex=\"0\">Environment<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p><strong><em>Please be mindful of resources to help the planet and save money for the International Temples Project.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>WATER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To allow everyone access to a shower, please keep your shower short. Do not leave taps running when cleaning your teeth, or at any other time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ELECTRIC\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please be mindful about turning lights off if you are the last one to leave the room.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RECYCLING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please separate waste as indicated on the trash containers.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5 tabindex=\"0\">Volunteering<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p><strong>Kadampa Festivals are unique volunteer-led events<\/strong>. Every aspect of the Festival is run entirely by volunteers &#8211; and more help is always needed. There are tasks to suit all abilities.<\/p>\n<p>Our volunteer co-ordinators help keep the festival running smoothly by matching volunteers with teams-in-need on a daily basis. The volunteering desk is near the main entrance beside registration and the info desk. Check out the white board there for a list of the priority tasks &#8211; if you have some time to spare either as a one-off or on a regular basis, our volunteer co-ordinators will be happy to match you with a suitable task.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5 tabindex=\"0\">Accommodation &#038; Transport<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p><strong>ACCOMMODATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For all accommodation related questions please go to Festival Registration.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>CAMPING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Camping is in designated areas only. Out of bounds camping areas will flood in the event of rain.<\/p>\n<p><strong>QUIET TIME<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After 10.30pm please be mindful that people are trying to sleep. Please be as quiet as possible near accommodation areas, and be aware that sound travels.<\/p>\n<p><strong>AIRPORT &amp; DAILY SHUTTLES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All shuttle buses pick-up &amp; drop off from the bus area at the main road, 500m from the Festival site.
