The Teaching
The purpose of going for refuge
On the third day, Venerable Geshe-la gave a commentary to the practice of Prajnaparamita, explaining the practice of going for refuge and developing the supreme good heart, bodhichitta. He encouraged us to offer these prayers from our heart in order to fully appreciate and deepen our experience of these profound practices.
Geshe-la taught the six perfections: giving, moral discipline, patience, effort, concentration, and wisdom, and explained how we need to engage in these practices with a mind of universal compassion and wisdom.
Quote of the Day
The attainment of enlightenment is the ultimate goal of all living beings so every living being needs to follow the path to enlightenment that is the Bodhisattva’s path – the six perfections.
Therefore the six perfections are called ‘the virtues of all beings’.

A Meaningful Holiday
It’s always wonderful to see Geshe-la especially as he will be retiring soon. And the teachings on bodhichitta are so beautiful, clear and simple.

It’s really special to come to Festival with my children and have one on one time with them as well as receive these profound wisdom teachings from Geshe-la. Being at EuroDisney helps to remind me continually that the things we normally see do not exist.
