Day 5: Meditation Retreat

Enjoy and Relax

Today we enjoyed a full day of meditation retreat sessions to take the Eight Verses of Training the Mind to heart. Retreat allows the verses to resonate at a deeper level so that we can become more familiar with the beautiful practice of loving-kindness and overcome our familiarity with our ordinary selfish view. Gen Chokga encouraged us to be strong in our determination to never give up the practice of loving-kindness.

When others out of jealousy or anger
Harm me or insult me,
May I take defeat upon myself
And offer them the victory.
