OFF-SITE ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

Due to the proximity of Málaga city and the Costa del Sol, with abundant accommodation options to suit all budgets, as well as local accommodation in Alhaurín el Grande and Alhaurín de la Torre, there will be no off-site accommodation available to book through the Festival.  Below is a list of possible accommodation options, many of which have been visited by the festival organisers and can be recommended. This list is not exhaustive.

Morning and evening festival shuttles will run between KMC Spain and designated pick up points in Málaga City (30 mins), Torremolinos (30 mins), Alhaurín el Grande (15 mins), and Alhaurín de la Torre (15 mins).

Parking is available at KMC Spain on a first-come, first-served basis. Book early to ensure your spot.

Public transport is very cheap in Spain and there are regular public buses between Alhaurín el Grande, Alhaurín de la Torre, Málaga City and KMC Spain.

Alhaurín el Grande / Alhaurín de la Torre

Alhaurín el Grande and Alhaurín de la Torre are the two closest towns to KMC Spain.  Regular public bus services link these 2 towns (approx. 15 mins travel time).

Note: it is not possible to walk on the A-404 between these 2 towns and KMC Spain. It is the main road to/from Málaga City and is a very windy, busy road with no pavements or lighting in the out of town sections.

Booking.com, Air BnB, Cubo Homes, and many others offer accommodation in these two local areas. Check the location carefully as many properties will be rural and will require a rental car.

Málaga City

Málaga City is the second largest city in Andalucía region and sixth largest city in Spain. It is a vibrant mix of historic and modern, combining beaches with beautiful architecture, and is the perfect place to experience southern Spanish lifestyle and culture. The airport Málaga Costa del Sol (AGP) is connected to the city centre by regular buses and trains (see travel page for more info).

Torremolinos/Benalmádena

Torremolinos and Benalmádena are beach resorts on the Costa del Sol, 8 miles (13 km) from Málaga city. Torremolinos beach is 5 miles (8 km) long and we recommend booking accommodation closest to Benalmádena for ease of access to the road to KMC Spain. Both Torremolinos and Benalmádena are served by regular trains and buses from Málaga Airport and Málaga city.

If travelling with children, many of the hotels will have children's activities/facilities, and nearby family attractions include Aqualand the largest aquapark on the Costa del Sol, and Crocodile Park.

There are 2 shuttle pick up points in Torremolinos, one close to Benalmadena, the other in central Torremolinos.

2. Torremolinos pick up 2 - Calle México, 1, 19620 - SUPECO supermarket near roundabout Monument al Turista.
