Prayers for World Peace
Prayers for World Peace will now be accessible online for everyone for free! Please join us online if you are not able to attend it here in the temple.
Airport Transfers – Important information
Please keep your festival pass as it will be needed to board the bus.

There are still spaces available.
1:00pm Bus to Guarulhos
For those already booked on the 1:00 pm bus to Guarulhos airport, please note that three buses will now depart at 12:00 pm. If you wish to depart at 12 noon, there is no need to change your original booking, just go to the bus departure area at 11.30. Please give priority on these earlier buses to passengers with earlier flight departure times.

Staying at KMC Brazil
For anyone who would like to stay longer at KMC Brazil, there are many opportunities to become a resident or long term volunteer. You can sign up through the QR code in one of the posters all around the festival site.
Festival T-shirt
If you were unable to buy a Festival t-shirt and would still like one, more will be available AFTER the festival through various Tharpa Publications. You will be notified when they are available to purchase.
Help Needed with Festival Takedown
Help is needed with Festival takedown. If you’re able to help, even if just for an hour or so, please go to the volunteer desk to sign up or sign up here. Thank you!
Toilets
To avoid queues at the main toilet block a reminder that there are extra toilets on site near the reception building.
Mobile Charging Points
There are charging points available in Vista do Japi cafe and Coffee to go.
Tantric Q&A
If you have a question you would like answered at the Tantric Question and Answers session on Tuesday 29, you can put your questions in the box located at the Volunteer Desk by the Vista do Japi cafe.
Tharpa/Gift Shop
If you have set aside items in the shop, and still have to collect and pay for them, please do so by end of Monday 28th. Any remaining items will be made available for general purchase from Tuesday 29th.
Tsog donations
You can make tsog offering donations in the following ways: In cash as you leave the Temple, or by making a CARD or PIX donation in the Cafes or Shop. Any remaining money not spent on offerings will be given to the International Temples Project.
Drop-off and pick-up point
For people who order taxis, or who have mobility problems, the drop-off and pick-up point will be in the same location: in the parking behind the temple.
Water for drinking
Tap water is not filtered; please only drink filtered water from the various filters around the festival site (see Festival map).

General Information
General Information
INFO DESK
Can be found in the building near the entrance to the Festival site. Visit the info desk for all general enquiries and to report any maintenance, household, or security concerns. Open 8am to 10pm daily (closed during Temple session times).
SPECIAL ASSISTANCE
If you have notified us in advance that you require any special assistance, we have tried our best to accommodate your needs wherever possible. If you require further assistance, please go to the info desk.
FIRST AID
First Aid Room is located at the end of the main shower block (see festival map for location).
During the night, if you need medical help, you can go to the first aid room (see the location on the map) or you can contact a marshall.
LOST PROPERTY & UNATTENDED BAGS
Lost property is located at the info desk, and all unattended bags will be taken to the luggage tent. Note, we cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to visitor’s property.
WATER
It is important to stay hydrated in the heat. There are water points throughout the site for refilling water bottles - see Festival map. Please note that the water is only drinkable from the water filter taps around the site and not from the sinks.
BREAKFAST & SUPPER
For those booked to stay onsite, breakfast and supper will be served in the main dining tent marked "Seating area 1" on the Festival map.
MUSIC
To avoid disturbing others, musical instruments are not permitted. Please use headphones if listening to music.
QUIET TIME
After 10.30pm please be mindful that people are trying to sleep. Please be as quiet as possible near accommodation areas, and be aware that sound travels.
Safety & Security
FIRE SAFETY
If you discover a fire, sound the alarm immediately. Points to raise the fire alarm are located throughout the Festival site. If you hear a fire alarm, proceed immediately to the Fire Assembly Point:
During the day (7am - 9pm): the assembly point is located at the Site Entrance
During the night (9pm - 7am): the assembly point is the Temple
Please follow the instructions of the Festival Marshalls and fire wardens.
Important: please read fire procedures and assembly instructions posted in the buildings, especially in your accommodation. Please familiarise yourself with your nearest fire exit and the location of air horns and fire extinguishers in your area.
No naked flames. Do not burn candles or incense, or use portable cooking equipment anywhere onsite. No smoking, vaping, or intoxicants allowed onsite.
ELECTRICAL FIRE HAZARD
Faulty electrical appliances increase the risk of fire, for this reason mobile charging stations are provided in Coffee to Go and Vista do Japi cafe. Electronic devices should not be charged elsewhere, any devices which are found charging in other public spaces will be removed for safety reasons. Use of personal electrical appliances such as kettles and irons is not permitted.
CAMPING SAFETY
Please camp in designated camping areas only. Camping in other areas is strictly prohibited due to the dangers presented by local wildlife. Keep your tent closed and don't store any food in your tent to avoid attracting wildlife. Don't leave items (e.g. shoes) stored outside your tent and always check your shoes before putting them on. Due to the strong winds, make sure your tent is securely tied down. More information can be found here.
LOCAL WILDLIFE
The forest around KMC Brazil is an environmental preservation area and home to a large variety of insects and animals, some of which are dangerous, therefore walking into the forest area is prohibited. If you are bitten or stung, seek assistance from the onsite medical team.
VALUABLES & UNATTENDED LUGGAGE
Please do not leave any item of luggage unattended. Unattended bags should be reported immediately to the Info Desk. All unattended bags will be removed. Please look after your valuables at all times, and do not leave any valuables in your tent or marquee dormitory.
NIGHT TIME EMERGENCY
Please go to the Temple where there is a night-time steward who can assist you.
Campers: In the event of a storm or heavy rain overnight, the emergency shelter is the video link tent to the right of the main temple entrance. If possible, take your sleeping bag and sleeping mattress with you.
In the Temple
ALL SESSIONS WILL BE HELD AT THE TEMPLE
For the empowerment sessions, the Temple doors will open 30 minutes before the start of the session to enable everyone to be seated. For all other sessions, please arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.
You will need to show your pass each time you enter the Temple.
Taking photos, videos or audio recordings during sessions is not permitted, however, you are welcome to do so outside of session times.
During sessions, please ensure your phone is off or on silent mode.
For fire and health & safety reasons, large bags are not permitted in the Temple - please leave them in the luggage tent.
TRANSLATION / ASSISTED LISTENING
Please only sit in this section of the Temple if you have pre-booked.

A Family Video Link - is in the World Peace Cafe (see Festival map for location), and is for children and their care givers only.
CHILDREN
Children 3 years and under are not permitted in the Temple during meditation, teaching or retreat sessions. They are welcome to attend pujas. A video link for children and nominated carers is provided - please see above Families section for more information.

Families
REGISTRATION
There is a dedicated registration team to assist families, you will be directed to them upon arrival at registration. They will orient you on the Festival site, family/children facilities, and health & safety.
GENERAL SAFETY
Festivals are public events and so children must always remain under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times.
TEMPLE & FAMILY VIDEO LINK
Children of all ages are welcome to attend pujas in the Temple. Children aged 3 years and under are not permitted in the Temple for teaching, meditation, or retreat sessions. However, there is designated family video link in the World Peace Cafe (see Festival map).
Environment
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
WATER
Please help to conserve water.
During your visit to KMC Brazil please be mindful of water usage. Please keep showers to 5 minutes duration and do not leave taps running.
ELECTRIC
Please be mindful about turning lights off if you are the last one to leave the room.
RECYCLING
Please separate waste as indicated on the trash containers.
Volunteering
Kadampa Festivals are unique volunteer-led events. Every aspect of the Festival is run entirely by volunteers – and more help is always needed. There are tasks to suit all abilities.
Our volunteer co-ordinators help keep the festival running smoothly by matching volunteers with teams-in-need on a daily basis. The volunteer desk is located near registration in the marquee in front of the Temple. Check out the white board there for a list of the priority tasks – if you have some time to spare either as a one-off or on a regular basis, our volunteer co-ordinators will be happy to match you with a suitable task.

CAMPING
Camping is in designated areas only. Camping outside designated areas is strictly prohibited - see Safety and Security for more information.

AIRPORT & DAILY SHUTTLES
All shuttle buses pick-up & drop off from the bus area near the entrance to the Festival site.
Shuttle schedules are available at the registration and info desks.
Please arrive at least 10 mins early to board your shuttle as buses will not be able to wait for late comers.
PARKING
All cars parked in the Festival car park must display a valid Festival Parking Permit. Upon arrival at KMC Brazil, please follow the directions of the car parking stewards.
TAXI DROP OFF/PICK UP
There is a taxi stop for pre-booked taxis in the car park behind the Temple. For the smooth and safe movement of vehicles and people, please follow the directions of the festival marshalls when being picked-up / dropped off.

You can make a donation towards the Tsog offerings during the festival at the shop and cafes.

Quiosques
For those who have pre-booked meals, you can collect your meal each day from the Quiosque (kiosk) that corresponds with your meal ticket for that day. Each Quiosque serves a different meal as follows. More information about each dish, including ingredients and allergens*, is available at the Quiosques.

WORLD PEACE CAFE - Sells espresso drinks, teas, hot chocolate, cold drinks, and a selection of premium cakes and savoury treats including vegan and gluten-free* options as well as a range of ice-creams.
COFFEE-TO-GO - For a quick drink and sweet or savoury snack. Serving filtered coffee, teas, cold drinks, pastries, breads, mini pizzas and more. Vegan and gluten-free* options available.
VISTA DO JAPI - Cafe with a view! Serving coffee, teas, hot chocolate, cold drinks, pastries, cakes, ice-cream, mini pizzas, empanadas and more. Vegan and gluten-free* options available.
JUICE BAR - A healthy boost! Quench your thirst with a range of juices and smoothies with a local flavour.
Food Court
TAPIOCA - Delight in this traditional Brazilian treat—thin, gluten-free* crepes made from tapioca flour, crisp on the outside and soft inside. Choose from a selection of savory or sweet fillings.
BURGER BAR - The famous festival burger bar is now open more often. See timetable for info on when you can grab a veggie burger and chips.
ACAI - Enjoy a cool, refreshing açaí bowl—made from blended, antioxidant-rich açaí berries with your choice of toppings.
POKE BOWL - A fresh and flavorful bowl filled with a variety of colorful vegetables, plant-based proteins, grains and a selection of toppings.
*Allergen information is available in all the quiosques, cafes and food court stands - please ask the servers. Due to potential cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that any of our quiosque, cafe or food court items are free from allergens.

The shop is located in the tent in front of the Temple and open daily between sessions and in the evenings.
The THARPA PUBLICATIONS SHOP stocks the complete range of Venerable Geshe-la’s books available in English and Portuguese, as well as a wide selection of books in other languages. You will also find prayer booklets, audio books and artwork. A Tharpa Publications representative is available to answer any questions.
The GIFT SHOP stocks a range of unique gifts as well as ritual items and statues, including beautiful Heruka statues.
The SNACK SHOP sells tsog offerings, snacks, cold drinks and ice cream. Gluten- free and vegan options are available. Basic toiletries are also available.
