Post Summer Festival retreats
The three International Festivals are precious opportunities to receive teachings and empowerments from the Gen-las, and this experience is greatly enhanced if we can spend some time after the Festival in retreat improving our understanding of the teachings and taking their meaning to heart.

Profound Teachings from Buddha’s Heart
Post-Summer Festival Retreat with Gen-la Kelsang Jampa, Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU, and Resident Teacher at IKRC Grand Canyon.
Based on teachings from the Summer Festival at Manjushri KMC, Gen-la Jampa will guide a week retreat, integrating the commentaries received in the International Summer Festival through meditations that will help us deepen our faith, wisdom, and compassion.

Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab will lead a week retreat based on the practice of The Great Mother in the Swiss mountains. This is a powerful method to avert and overcome all our hindrances and obstacles, both to worldly happiness and to the attainment of the permanent inner peace of nirvana – liberation.

Profound Teachings from Buddha’s Heart
With Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang, National Spiritual Director of Switzerland, Italy, Austria and South Africa and Resident Teacher at Madhyamaka KMC.
Retreat based on the teachings received at the International Summer Festival which will take place from July 26 to August 10 at KMC Manyhushri, UK.
In the first week of this special Festival, Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU, will grant Prajnaparamita’s empowerment followed by teachings on the Heart Sutra.
In the second week, Gen-la Kelsang Jampa, Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU, will give commentary to Vajrayoguini extraordinary practices ‘The Blissful Path’ and ‘The Uncommon Yoga of Inconceivability’.

In this Post Festival Retreat, Gen Tonglam will guide us through the meditations that will help take the teachings of Summer Festival deep into our heart. Also using the teaching of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s final festival to help us deepen our faith, wisdom and compassion. We will also deepen our experience of preventing obstacles in daily through the powerful method of reciting The Heart Sutra that was taught by Buddha Shakyamuni himself at Massed Vultures Mountain.

Living Lightly

Based upon the teachings at this year’s NKT Summer Festival 2024, In this weekend retreat, we will explore how to recognize and let go of the many negative and heavy states of mind that weigh us down and obstruct our happiness, and instead learn how to develop and maintain peaceful, positive minds that bring us tremendous energy and joy in daily life. Through guided meditation, teaching and discussion we can explore the very real choices we have to free ourselves from anger, unhealthy attachments, stress, and confusion and instead develop our patience, love, acceptance and wisdom.

The Uncommon Yoga of Inconceivability
with Gen Kelsang Rabka, Resident Teacher at KMC Singapore
Based upon the teachings at this year’s Summer Festival, Gen Rabka will guide a weekend retreat on the practice of the Uncommon Yoga of Inconceivability. This is a special method, unique to the practice of Vajrayogini and reveals a priceless instruction through which we can attain the Pure Land of Keajra within our present human body. This weekend retreat is a precious opportunity to deepen our meditative experience and understanding of this sublime wisdom.
