PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW CAREFULLY

If you are booking to attend week 2 of the Festival you must attend all 4 empowerment sessions - see program page for more details.

Pre-registration is necessary: It is necessary to have booked and paid in full prior to arrival at the Festival. See below for full payment details. 

Bookings cannot be transferred to another person.

Deposit, Balance Payment & Refund Policy: NKT-IKBU has contracted with many suppliers, therefore the following conditions apply. Please carefully read the information below.

Festival Fee and Camping 

• Bookings made on or before 7 July require a minimum non-refundable 25% deposit at the time of booking.  Bookings without the minimum deposit will be cancelled automatically after 72 hours, after which it will be necessary to make a new booking. Balance payment is due by 7 July.
• Bookings made on or after 8 July require full payment at the time of booking.
• Cancellations: 25% deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellations up to and including 7 July. From 8 July the festival and camping fees are non-refundable.

Onsite Accommodation (other than camping)

• Bookings made on or before 7 July require a minimum non-refundable 25% deposit at the time of booking. Bookings without the minimum deposit will be cancelled automatically after 72 hours, after which it will be necessary to make a new booking. Balance payment is due by 7 July.
• Bookings made on or after 8 July require full payment at time of booking.
• Cancellations: 25% deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellations up to and including 7 July. From 8 July the accommodation fee is non-refundable.

Meals and Parking

• Bookings made on or before 7 July require a minimum non-refundable 25% deposit at the time of booking. Balance payment is due by 7 July.
• Bookings made on or after 8 July require full payment at time of booking.
• Cancellations: 25% deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellations up to and including 7 July. From 8 July the meals and parking fees are non-refundable.

Airport Shuttles

• Payment: Full payment required at time of booking – this will automatically be calculated when you make your booking.
• Cancellations: a 25% deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellations up to and including 23 June. From 24 June shuttles are non-refundable. If there is insufficient demand for a bus at a particular time, we will notify you in writing and the fee paid will either be credited against your remaining Festival balance, or if you have a zero balance, we will refund you in full.

Any non-refunded fees arising from cancellations are donated to the NKT-IKBU International Temples Project.

Exceptions: May be made in cases of sickness or bereavement; you should apply by e-mail to the NKT Treasurer treasurer@kadampa.org within 2 weeks of the end of each Festival. This applies to Festival Fee and onsite accommodation only and does not apply to meals or transport.

Early Arrivals and Late Stays: On-site accommodation is available to book for 2 nights before and 1 night after the festival.  Pre-Festival availability for single, and twin or double rooms are limited however. If your chosen pre or post Festival accommodation is not available, we will offer an alternative. Priority for indoor pre/post-Festival accommodation is given to those who are staying in the same accommodation during the festival.

Ordination Ceremony: Please indicate on the booking form if you will be attending the Ordination Ceremony. Please note only those already ordained, or receiving ordination for the first time can attend the actual ceremony itself.

Children and Young Adults: Children and Young Adults are welcome to attend the Festival however, some special conditions apply. Please see the Children & Young Adults page for information about the conditions for children and young adults attending the Festival.

Dogs/Other Pets: Dogs and other pets are not allowed anywhere on the Festival site, nor are they permitted to be left in vehicles in the car parks at any time.

The Courses You Will Attend: The 2026 Summer Festival begins on the evening of 24 July and will end with lunch on the final day, Saturday 8 August – see Programme page for more info.

Translation: All Festival Empowerments, Teachings, Reviews, Meditations and Retreat Sessions will be conducted in English. Translation will be provided and must be selected at the time of booking. See Translation and Assisted Needs page for more info.

Audio Recordings: Audio recordings are of the teaching sessions only and do not include the empowerments, guided meditations or retreat sessions. Audio recordings can be purchased at the time of booking, or added to your cart later up to one month after the Festival. The final date for purchasing audio recordings is 8 September 2026.  Recordings may only be purchased for whole of week 1, the whole of week 2, and the first weekend (Fri - Sat). You must have booked to attend the necessary sessions.  Recordings are for the sole use of the registered recipient and should not be shared.
