Accommodation
There are a number of accommodation options available, all within short walking distance of the Festival venue. We've worked hard to provide a range of accommodation types to suit everyone from low budget backpackers to those wanting all the facilities of their own apartment, and everything in between.
The closest option is directly opposite the venue in the old-style Brisbane Manor which has been booked out entirely for our use during the Festival. There are a couple of apartment blocks about 5-10 minutes walk from the venue that give you the convenience of your own kitchen, laundry and living space. There are three hotels to choose from, each within a 10 minute walk of the venue, at different price points to suit your budget. And, we've booked out whole floors in a large backpacker hostel about 10-15 minutes walk from the venue ensuring you wiill be staying with other Kadampa guests in single-sex dorms.
Best Western – Gregory Terrace
Best Western Gregory Terrace Brisbane offers contemporary accommodation 10 minutes walk from the venue and King St dining precinct. There is an outdoor pool area and restaurant onsite. Room amenities include a fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and mini bar. Room service is available 6pm – 9pm and continental breakfast is included in the room rate. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from Fortitude Valley train station and shops – note the walk from the station is uphill so those who are physically challenged may prefer to arrange a taxi/car share from the station. There is a bus stop close to the hotel with buses running regularly to and from the city. The walk to the venue from the hotel is on a slight slope.
- Must be booked for the entire Festival: 2 – 8 October (6 nights) through the Festival booking system.
- Early arrivals are not available through the Festival booking system and must be booked directly with the hotel.

- The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the venue and 15 minutes walk from Fortitude Valley amenities including train station, restaurants and supermarkets. It is also a short bus ride from the city.

- Superior Queen room: $160 (incl. continental breakfast)
Sleeps 2 people (1 Double Bed), air-conditioning, bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, WiFi.
- Deluxe Twin room: $170 (incl. continental breakfast)
Sleeps 2 people (1 Double Bed and 1 Single), air-conditioning, bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, WiFi.
- Deluxe Triple room: $200 (incl. continental breakfast)
Sleeps 3 people (1 Double Bed and 1 Single), air-conditioning, bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, WiFi.
Deposit and Cancellation Terms
Due to contractual obligations, the following deposit and cancellation terms apply:
- Booking is per room
- 25% deposit to secure booking.
- 25% deposit refundable up to 18 September
- Full payment due 18 September.
- No refund after 18 September unless we are able to resell the room.
**Failure to pay the deposit or balance payment by the dates indicated above will lead to the cancellation of your hotel booking. Due to the terms of our contract, there is no flexibility on this. Should we have to cancel your hotel booking due to nonpayment, any subsequent booking will be subject to availability and will be charged at the prevailing room rates and not at the special Festival rate.**
Code Apartments
Code Apartments is a boutique 10 level development with panoramic views over Brisbane CBD, a large courtyard with pool, BBQ complete with dining areas, Skydeck on level 10, gymnasium, theatre, high speed elevators, state of the art security and intercom, secure underground parking and access along with onsite management. It is 10 minutes walk from the venue and a short walk from local amenities – Fortitude Valley train station (15 mins), Bowen Hills train station (8 mins), supermarket (12 mins), King St dining precinct (10 mins).
- Must be booked for the entire Festival: 2 – 8 October (6 nights) through the Festival booking system.

- Breakfast is not included but you have the convenience of your own kitchen.
- 10 levels of accommodation, all accessible via lift

- These apartments are a 10 minute walk from the venue, the King St Dining Precinct and a small supermarket. Fortitude Valley shops, restaurants and train station are a 15 minute walk.

- 1BR Apartment: $140
Sleeps 2 people (1 Queen bed), kitchen with modern appliances, living/dining area, bathroom, laundry, reverse cycle air-conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi.
