Booking terms & conditions

Pre-registration is necessary: It is necessary to have booked and paid in full prior to arrival at the Festival.

Non Transferable: Bookings cannot be transferred to another person.

Deposit, Balance Payment & Refund Policy: NKT-IKBU has contracted with many suppliers, therefore the following conditions apply. Please carefully read the  information below.

Festival Fee

• Bookings made on or before 23 September: A minimum 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. Bookings without the minimum deposit will be cancelled automatically after 72 hours, after which it will be necessary to make a new booking. Balance payment is due by 24 September.
• Bookings made on or after 24 September: Require full payment at the time of booking.
• Cancellations: 25% deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellations up to and including 23 September. From 24 September the Festival Fee is non-refundable.

 Onsite Accommodation 

• Bookings made on or before 23 September: A minimum 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. Bookings without the minimum deposit will be cancelled automatically after 72 hours, after which it will be necessary to make a new booking. Balance payment is due by 24 September.
• Bookings made on or after 24 September: Require full payment at time of booking.
• Cancellations: 25% deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellations up to and including 23 September. From 24 September the accommodation fee is non-refundable.

Meals and Parking

• Bookings made on or before 23 September: A minimum 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. Balance payment is due by 24 September.
• Bookings made on or after 24 September: Require full payment at time of booking.
• Cancellations: 25% deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellations up to and including 23 September. From 24 September meals and parking fees are non-refundable.

Airport Shuttles and Daily Shuttles

• Payment: Full payment required at time of booking – this will automatically be calculated when you make your booking.
• Cancellations: 25% deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellations up to and including 9 September. From 10 September shuttles are non-refundable. If there is insufficient demand for a bus at a particular time, we will notify you in writing and the fee paid will either be credited against your remaining Festival balance, or if you have a zero balance, we will refund you in full.

Any non-refunded fees arising from cancellations are donated to the NKT-IKBU International Temples Project.

Exceptions: May be made in cases of sickness or bereavement; you should apply by e-mail to the NKT Treasurer treasurer@kadampa.org within 2 weeks of the end of each Festival. This applies to Festival Fee and onsite accommodation only and does not apply to meals or transport.

Early Arrivals and Late Stays: Onsite accommodation is available to book for 1 night before and 1 night after the Festival. If your chosen pre or post Festival accommodation is not available, we will offer an alternative. Priority for indoor pre or post Festival accommodation is given to those who are staying in the same accommodation during the Festival.

Children and Young Adults: Children and Young Adults are welcome to attend the Festival however some special conditions apply. Please see the Children & Young Adults page for information about the conditions for children and young adults attending the Festival.

The Course You Will Attend: The 2026 Fall Festival begins on the evening of Friday 9 October and will end with lunch on the final day, Thursday 15 October - see Program page for more info.

Translation Facilities: All Festival Empowerments, Teachings, Reviews, Meditations and Retreat Sessions are conducted in English. Translation will be provided and must be selected at the time of booking. See Translation & Assisted Needs page for more info.

Audio Recordings: Audio recordings are of the teaching sessions only and do not include the empowerment, guided meditations or retreat sessions. Audio recordings can be purchased at the time of booking, or added to your cart later up to one month after the Festival. The final date for purchasing audio recordings is 15 November 2026.  Recordings may be purchased for the whole festival or weekend weekend only (Fri-Sun). You must have booked to attend the necessary sessions. Recordings are for the sole use of the registered recipient and should not be shared.
