Booking terms & conditions

PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW CAREFULLY

Pre-registration is necessary: It is necessary to have booked and paid in full prior to arrival at the Festival.

Bookings cannot be transferred to another person.

Deposit, Balance Payment & Refund Policy: NKT-IKBU has contracted with many suppliers, therefore the following conditions apply. Please carefully read the  information below.

Festival Fee

• Bookings made on or before 10 October require a minimum non-refundable 25% deposit at the time of booking. Bookings without the minimum deposit will be cancelled automatically after 72 hours, after which it will be necessary to make a new booking. Balance payment is due by 10 October.
• Bookings made on or after 11 October require full payment at the time of booking.
• Cancellations: 25% deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellations up to and including 10 October. From 11 October the Festival Fee is non-refundable.

 Onsite & Offsite Accommodation 

• Bookings made on or before 10 October require a minimum non-refundable 25% deposit at the time of booking. Bookings without the minimum deposit will be cancelled automatically after 72 hours, after which it will be necessary to make a new booking. Balance payment is due by 10 October.
• Bookings made on or after 11 October require full payment at time of booking.
• Cancellations: 25% deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellations up to and including 10 October. From 11 October the accommodation fee is non-refundable.

Meals

• Bookings made on or before 10 October require a minimum non-refundable 25% deposit at the time of booking. Balance payment is due by 10 October.
• Bookings made on or after 11 October require full payment at time of booking.
• Cancellations: 25% deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellations up to and including 10 October. From 11 October meals are non-refundable.

Airport Shuttles, Daily Shuttles & Onsite Parking

• Payment: Full payment required at time of booking – this will automatically be calculated when you make your booking. 
• Cancellations: 25% deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellations up to and including 25 September. From 26 September shuttles are non-refundable. If there is insufficient demand for a bus at a particular time, we will notify you in writing and the fee paid will either be credited against your remaining Festival balance, or if you have a zero balance, we will refund you in full.

Any non-refunded fees arising from cancellations are donated to the NKT-IKBU International Temples Project. Exceptions may be made in cases of sickness or bereavement; you should apply by e-mail to the NKT Treasurer treasurer@kadampa.org within 2 weeks of the end of each Festival. This applies to Festival Fee and onsite accommodation only and does not apply to meals or transport.

Ordination Ceremony

Please indicate on the booking form if you will be attending the Ordination Ceremony. Please note: only those already ordained, or receiving ordination for the first time can attend the actual ceremony itself.

Translation

All Festival Teachings, Reviews, Meditations and Retreat Sessions will be conducted in English. Translation will be provided and must be selected at the time of booking.

Audio Recordings

Audio recordings are of the teaching sessions only and do not include the empowerments, Tantra Q&A, guided meditations or retreat sessions. Audio recordings can be purchased at the time of booking, or added to your cart later up to one month after the Festival. The final date for purchasing audio recordings is 1 December 2024.  Recordings may only be purchased for all the teaching sessions and you must have booked to attend the necessary sessions.  Recordings are for the sole use of the registered recipient and should not be shared.
